How It Works
Time-lapse photography compresses long events into short clips by taking photos at regular intervals. A 15-second clip at 24fps needs 360 frames. If you shoot every 5 seconds, you need 30 minutes of shooting time. Common intervals: 1-2s for clouds, 3-5s for crowds, 10-15s for sunsets, 30-60s for construction or plants. Always shoot more than you need since you can trim the clip later but cannot add frames.
